Visit Athens to vie the main historic sites of the city, where the Greek civilization has been born. Go to the island of Crete, where you will discover the heart of the Mediterranean cuisine, its magnificent beaches the Minoan Palace of Knossos, Elounda Bay, together with some picturesque villages where the local culture is still vivid. Complete your vacation in Greece nested in a cave suite on the "Caldera" (cliffs) of Santorini with the stunning views and the unique atmosphere of the island that will amaze you.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive in Athens and stay for two nights in a nice hotel next to the Plaka area, where you can walk to most of the sites of the city.
Surrounding the hill of the Acropolis, Plaka area, is full of coffee shops, local restaurants, the fleet market (Monastiraki), the Central Food Market of the city, The Roman Agora (Stoa of Attalos) and the Hephaestus Temple, The tower of the winds, the Philopappos, Mars, and the Pnyx Hills, "Anafiotika" (featuring Traditional Cycladic Architecture, built by settlers of the Cycladic island of Anafi, across Santorini island) and the picturesque neighborhood of Psiri.

Day 2:
Enjoy your first day at leisure and stroll around the picturesque area of Plaka.
Take a private tour of the city of Athens, which will help you enjoy a unique perspective of the Acropolis, The Parthenon, The New Acropolis Museum, The Temple of Olympic Zeus and the Olympic Stadium.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure considering some nice dinner at the Lycabettus hill where a spectacular view of Athens could be enjoyed.

Day 3:
After Breakfast transfer to the airport and fly over to the island of Rhodes where you could stay in to the Medieval Castle of Rhodes Town.
Wonder around the cobblestoned streets of the castle, visit the Archaeological Museum of the island and the Palace of the Grand Master, or some of the Ottoman Mosques and the art Galleries of the Old Town.

Day 4:
Next to the Medieval Town there is the old port of Rhodes, where you could take a boat trip to the picturesque islands of Simi or Chalki to enjoy the Crystal clear waters of the Aegean and some delicious sea food.

Day 5:
Rent a car and drive along the South west coast of the island all the way up to the picturesque village of Lindos.
Along the way you can stop by at the Beach of Kalithea, the Beach of Anthony Quinn, Tsabika Beach and the Local Monastery at the top of the Hill, where you can enjoy some amazing views of the entire coast, a thousand feet above the sea level.
Arrive in Lindos where you could take the Donkeys to climb up to the Acropolis of Lindos, where you will admire the remaining of Ancient Greek and the Hellenistic times.
Your evening can be enjoyed by walking around the Cycladic alley ways of the village of Lindos, where you can enjoy some nice dinner. Make your way back home, keeping in mind that the drive back to town is approximately 60' minutes.

Day 6:
Enjoy your morning at leisure and transfer to the airport for your flight to the island of Crete. Upon your arrival at the Heraklion airport, pick up a rental car and drive to Elounda Bay, where you could stay in one of the resort hotels on the Peninsula.

Day 7:
After Breakfast take a boat trip to the fortress of Spinalonga, take a swim in one of the beaches of the bay and enjoy your evening in the cosmopolitan and picturesque town of Agios Nicolaos.

Day 8:
Today you can optionally drive down south to Ierapetra and Makrys Gialos, where you could take a boat trip to the Natural reserve of the island of Chryssi. Instead of using the highway to go to Ierapetra in 60'minutes, you could alternatively take the road that goes through the villages of Kroustas, Kritsa, Prinas, Kalamafka and the artificial lake of Mpramianon, which will help you enjoy some the natural attractions of the mountain areas of the Lassithi Plateau and the local atmosphere of the specific mountain villages.
An alternative route to enjoy your day would be for you to drive along the northern coast of eastern part of Crete, to visit the town of Sitia and the coves and the beach villages along this coast, all the way out to the beaches of Vai and Itanos and its Archaeological site.

Day 9:
After Breakfast you will drive to Heraklion town, 75' minutes drive, where you can visit the Archaeological Museum of the island that is hosting exhibits from different parts of the island and are dated 5aaa years, B.C.
After the Museum you can take a tour at the Minoan Palace of Knossos and then you can drive to the Village of Archanes, at the slopes of the Psiloritis Mountain, where you could have lunch.
For the end of the day you can consider spending the night at a hotel in Heraklion, as the boat to Santorini departs early in the morning, to avoid the drive back from Elounda Bay and enjoy your evening in Heraklion town or you could optionally visit the Venetian port town of Rethymno, 60' minute drive west from Heraklion.

Day 10:
Start your day after Breakfast and drive to the port where you will drop off the car rental and embark the speed boat to the island of Santorini. Upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, in one of the main villages of the island, such as Fira Town, Firostefani, Imerovigli, or Oia Village, that is located at the northern tip of the island.
You can spend your first day by enjoying the amazing views of the ocean, the Crater of the Volcano and the spectacular sun set, from your room's balcony and have dinner in one of the nice restaurants overlooking the ocean, 1000 feet above the sea level.

Day 11:
Rent a car and explore the black sand beaches of Kamari, Perisa and Perivolos Beach. Vlichada Beach and the local fishing port, where the sailboats are docking. The red Beach and the Archaeological site of Akrotiri, together the Venetian Lighthouse.
Don't forget to drive to the highest tip of the island, in Profitis Elias Monastery and the quaint village of Pyrgos, where you can enjoy a stroll in to Venetian castle of the village and its impressive churches with their Blue doms.
The Traditional settlements of Megalochori and Emporio would also be places worth visiting, to experience the local atmosphere and the local cuisine.

Day 12:
You can take a wine tour, a cooking class, or a combination of both, to sample the good quality wines, learn about the wine making in Greece and taste some local specialties with local ingredients.

Day 13:
A nice way of ending your trip to Greece, would be for you to enjoy a unique sun set cruise, sailing along the extensive crater of the volcano, with a nice meal on board, or simply take a half day boat trip to the new crater of the volcano and the Hot springs and Thirasia island.

Day 14:
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Athens, where you will connect with your overseas flight back at home.
