Visit Athens for 3 Nights, 1 Night Ancient Olympia, 1Night Delphi, 1 Night Meteora & 1 N Athens.

 For Travelers who wish to enjoy a short trip to Greece, to enjoy the History and Archeology of Greece, the highlights of Athens and a day cruise to the islands of Aegina, Hydra and Poros.

Visit Athens to view the main historic sites of the city, where the Greek civilization was born. Take a day cruise to the picturesque islands of Aegina, Hydra and Poros. Enjoy the four day Classical tour of Greece and visit Ancient Olympia, Delphi and Meteora.

During the specific trip travelers will be able to enjoy, History and Archeology tours, Archaeological sites and Museums, Monasteries & churches, islands with unique architecture.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive in Athens and stay for three nights, next to the Plaka area where you could walk to most of the sites in the center of the city.
For your first day you can rest from your overseas flight and just take a walk around the Monastiraki square, The Roman Agora and the coffee shops or the local restaurants of Thission.

Day 2:
Today you can enjoy the half day tour of Athens, the Parthenon, the New Acropolis Museum and Olympic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place. For the rest of the day you can optionally visit the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion..

Day 3:
After Breakfast you can take a day cruise to the Islands of Aegina, where you can optionally visit the Ancient Greek Temple of Athena Afea. The picturesque island of Hydra and Poros where mainly locals are going, using the Hydrofoils from the Main Port of Piraeus. These islands can really be a retreat from the city of Athens and an excellent sample of the traditional island life style of Greece. Return to your hotel at 19:00pm and Have dinner at the Roof Top Restaurant of The Grande Bretagne Hotel, overlooking the city of Athens and the Acropolis.

Day 4:
Today you will join the Classical tour of Greece and you will take your first short stop at the Corinth Canal, that connects the mainland Greece and the Peloponnese peninsula. Your next stop will be the Ancient Greek Theater of Epidaurus and the local Archaeological site with its Asclepion (The Ancient Greek Hospital). After Epidaurus you will enjoy a nice break in the picturesque town of Nafplion where you will enjoy some nice lunch at the waterfront of the city. Your next stop will be at the Archaeological site of Mycenae, where you will visit the Tombs of King Agamemnon and the Local Museum. Onwards you will drive over the mountain areas of the Peloponnese to arrive in Ancient Olympia, where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 5:
After Breakfast you will visit the local Archaeological site where you will see the Temple of Zeus, the Sanctuary where the Olympic Flame starts from every four years for the Olympic Games and the impressive local museum. From Ancient Olympia, you will drive north to cross the Rio Antirio Bridge that connects Peloponnese and the mainland and you will take a stop at the coastal towns of Nafpaktos or Galaxidi. Later in the evening you will arrive in Delphi where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 6:
Today you will visit the Archaeological site of Delphi and the Ancient Greek Temple of Apollo, the Ancient Greek Theater, the Stadium and the Sanctuary of the Oracle. At the Local Museum you will admire the statue of the Charioteer of Delphi, The Sphinx of Naxos, and Pediments from the Apollo Temple etc. Later in the afternoon you will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant at the Village of Arachova, at the sloaps of Mt. Parnassus and then you will drive north to the monasteries of Meteora. Dinner and overnight in the town of Kalambaka that is located in the bottom of the meteor rocks.

Day 7:
After Breakfast you will drive around the various monasteries in the unique landscapes of Meteora and visit at least two of the Monasteries to view the Byzantine churches with their frescoes dated back in the 11th century. You can enjoy lunch in the area and then you will start your return journey back to Athens. Along the way, you will take a short stop in Thermopylae to view the statue of the Spartan King Leonydas.
You will arrive in Athens at 19:00pm and then you can optionally have some nice dinner at Lycabettus Hill overlooking the entire illuminated city of Athens at night.

Day 8:
After Breakfast transfer to the airport and fly back to Athens where you will connect to your overseas flight back home.
