Visit Athens for 2 Nights, Mykonos Island for 2Nights, Cruise along the Aegean for 3 Nights and stay in Santorini for 3 Nights.

 For Travelers who are visiting Greece for the first time, to enjoy the History and Archeology of Greece, the highlights of the Aegean and spend some quality time in Mykonos and Santorini, that are considered to be the jewels of the Cycladic islands.

Visit Athens to view the main historic sites of the city, where the Greek civilization was born. Visit Mykonos to enjoy the beach vacation and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the island. Cruise the Aegean and go to Kusadasi in Turkey, where you will visit the Archaeological site of Ephesus. Visit the island of Patmos where St. John had written the Book of Revelation. Visit the island of Rhodes where you’ll be able to visit the Medieval Castle and the Acropolis Of Lindos. Go to the island of Crete and disembark in Heraklion town, where you will visit the Minoan Palace of Knossos. Disembark your cruise ship on the unique island of Santorini to enjoy its amazing atmosphere and views, as it is an ideal place to rest and relax.

During the specific trip travelers will be able to enjoy, History and Archeology tours, Archaeological sites and Museums, medieval castles and Ancient Palaces, Monasteries & churches, islands with unique architecture, splendid beaches, cooking classes, wine tours and sun set cruises.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive in Athens and stay for two nights, to rest from your overseas flight and enjoy the main sights of the city. You can optionally stay, next to the Plaka area, where you can even walk to most of the sites in the area.

Surrounding the hill of the Acropolis, Plaka area, is full of coffee shops, local restaurants, the fleet market (Monastiraki), the Central Food Market of the city, The Roman Agora (Stoa of Attalos) and the Hephaestus Temple, The tower of the winds, the Philopappos, Mars, and the Pnyx Hills, “Anafiotika” (featuring Traditional Cycladic Architecture, built by settlers of the Cycladic island of Anafi, across Santorini island) and the picturesque neighborhood of Psiri.    

Day 2:
Take a half day tour of the city of Athens that will help you discover the historic back ground of the city and its highlights, such as the Parthenon and the Acropolis, The New Acropolis Museum, The Temple of Olympic Zeus and the Olympic Stadium where the first modern Olympic games took place.   

Day 3:
After Breakfast you will be transferred to the Athens airport for your flight to the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, where you can optionally stay in one of the nice resort hotels next to the actual town of Mykonos, to enjoy the beach vacation. The beaches of Platys Yialos, Agios Ioannis or Agios Stefanos, would be some good choices for your stay as they are only located a 10 minute drive from Mykonos town, where you can be spending your evenings.

Day 4:
After Breakfast rent a car and explore some of the best beaches of the island such as Paradise and Super Paradise, or Elia Beach and the Village of Ano Mera, 20 minutes drive north of Mykonos town.

Day 5:
Today you can enjoy your day at leisure exploring the actual town of Mykonos or you can optionally take a boat trip to the open air Museum of Delos Island that is a Unesco Heritage site, until 14:00 pm.
You can embark your Cruise ship any time after 18:00pm, until 23:00pm, when your cruise ship will depart for the overnight sale to Kusadasi in Turkey.

Day 6:
Today you will be able to visit Ephesus, the largest Archaeological site in the Mediterranean and enjoy the remaining of the Ancient Greek, the Roman and the Byzantine civilization.
Some of the highlights of Ephesus are the House of Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis, the Celsus Library and the Terrace Houses.
After 12:00pm, you will sail along to the picturesque island of Patmos, where you will visit the Monastery of St John and the cistern where he lived.
Late in the evening you will sail along the coast of Turkey and you will arrive on the island of Rhodes early in the morning.

Day 7:
After Breakfast you can explore the Biggest Medieval Castle in Europe, visit the Palace of The Knights and the Archaeological Museum of the island where you can admire the artifacts of different civilizations for the past five thousand years. Optionally you could also consider taking a tour to the picturesque village of Lindos where you can visit the local Acropolis with the Temple of Goddess Athena.

After 18:00pm, you will sail across to the island of Crete, where you will dock at the Main port of Heraklion town that is the capital town of Crete.


Day 8:
Early in the morning you can walk around the Venetian port, go to the center of the town, visit the Archaeological Museum and then take a tour of the Minoan Palace of Knossos that is related to the Myth of The Minotaur.

After 12:00pm, you will sail to the island of Santorini, where you will disembark the cruise ship and be transferred to your hotel, in one of the picturesque villages of Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, or Oia that is located at the northern tip of the island.

Upon your arrival you will enjoy your first sun set, overlooking the Aegean 1000 feet above the sea level.

Day 9:
Today would be a good day for you to rent a car and explore the entire island on your own, or use a local guide to show you around the island. Visit the Black sand Beaches, the Village of Pyrgos and the Monastery of Prophet Elias. Take a swim at the Red beach or visit the Archaeological site of Akrotiri and the light house that is the southern point of the island, offering amazing views of the entire Caldera.

Day 10:
While in Santorini you can optionally enjoy a nice wine tour or a cooking class where you can some of the quality wines of the island and the delicious local ingredients. Alternatively you could visit the Prehistoric Museum of the island in Fira town, walk along the trail that goes along the edge of the cliffs and visit the picturesque fishing port of Amoudi bay that is located at the bottom of the town of Oia, to watch the sun set and taste some good quality sea food.

An additional option for you to end your trip to Greece would be for you to enjoy a unique sun set cruise on a Catamaran sailboat, with some nice meal on board.  

Day 11:
After Breakfast transfer to the airport and fly back to Athens where you will connect to your overseas flight back home.
